Dedicated to the APO-Vario-Elmarit-SL 90-280mm f/2.8-4 telephoto zoom, this Lens Hood from Leica blocks stray light from entering the front element in order to prevent undesirable reflections and flare. It also gives the front of the lens some added protection against impact and scratches, as it protrudes beyond the end of the lens. This hood serves as a spare or replacement for the original one included with the 90-280mm.
